Primal 101

Perfect for both advanced athletes and beginners, Primal 101 focuses on developing and correcting movement patterns. All humans develop the same way: from the embryonic stage to crawling, then walking upright. Over time, our posture and movement are altered through repetitive actions and sedentary routines. This can result in weakness, pain, postural and structural imbalance, improper movement and many times, illness and fatigue.

Primal 101 will teach both newbies and seasoned athletes to get back to the basics of movement and improve performance. It is highly recommended that everyone attends the 4-week session at least once before moving to our more advanced classes. Athletes who are already involved in our advanced classes should seriously consider participating in this class at least once a year to de-load and reprogram their bodies.

Our lead trainer, David Gentile, will be coaching the OnRamp program. He has rehabilitated many clients to the point where they are stronger than they were before their injuries. He will personally guide Primal 101 participants to ensure the movements and techniques are learned correctly.

Our four week OnRamp program covers:

  • Breathing patterns
  • Core function
  • Infant development patterns (harder than you think)
  • Primal movement patterns (Squat, Hinge, Lung, Push, Pull, Rotation)
  • Prime 6 Kettle Bell movements (Swing, Clean, Squat, Snatch, Press, Turkish Get Up)
  • Basic barbell techniques
  • Introduction to Olympic lifting
  • Proper warm up and cool down

Don’t be fooled by the title of this class. Primal 101 will push you to burn fat, build muscle and boost confidence in your personal fitness regardless of your current physical level.

Strength Camp

For the last five years Primal has been fueled by the fat this program has burned! This is Primal’s cornerstone fitness program which has improved hundreds of lives and destroyed countless pounds. Primal Strength Camp is a strength and conditioning class which operates under the principle that strength is the most important baseline to develop in any fitness program. With that in mind, all other facets of fitness are also incorporated including power, endurance, flexibility and posture. Primal Strength Camp has proven to be successful in developing both athletes and those who are looking for a safe effective way to get strong, lean, and healthy.

Myofascial Yoga

Myofascial Yoga & Mobility Classes at Primal are some of our most challenging classes.
All classes are led by David Gentile, who put this program together to help people truly understand how the body works as a single, interconnected unit. David combines the principles of joint mobility and fascial lengthening to build tensional integrity in the body.
In these classes, you will learn to breathe properly, to brace properly, and how you can heal injuries through proper lengthening of the fascial system. David teaches how the fascia connects the entire human structure together and how you must be able to keep this tissue long and malleable to be truly mobile, flexible, and strong.
There is no other class like this offered anywhere. You owe it to yourself to try it out

Athletic Conditioning

The purpose of this fast paced, fun class is to shed fat as quickly as possible while performing movements property and effectively. Primal Athletic Conditioning is for those who wish to stay away from heavy barbell training by incorporating movements that can be performed with kettlebells, dumbbells, and less conventional equipment, as well as your own body weight. If your goal is to lose as much fat as possible Athletic Conditioning is the class for you.

Uproar Weightlifting 101

Uproar Weightlifting led by Stefan Rueda and Tayla Correa offer personalized and team programming based upon the specifics of the athlete. The nationally ranked coaches and athletes of the Uproar Weightlifting team specialize in production of strength and power through focusing on perfecting the traditional Olympic weightlifting movements: the snatch and the clean-and-jerk.
